Day 1:Depart USA* - Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
Day 2:Arrive in Frankfurt, Germany - Welcome to Germany! Late this afternoon, we take an orientation tour of Frankfurt including medieval Römerplatz. Later we enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director and traveling companions.
Day 4:Frankfurt / Rhine Cruise / Cologne - This morning we take a relaxing Rhine cruise from St. Goar to Boppard. Rejoining our coach, we drive past Bonn, Beethoven’s birthplace. Then, continue to Cologne to see its magnificent gothic cathedral, before reaching our hotel. (BB)
Day 7:Cologne /Hamburg - Today we drive into Lower Saxony en route to Hamburg, with the chance to take a harbour cruise. Later, an orientation tour includes the inner Alster Lake. We dine in our hotel tonight. (BB,D)
Day 11:Hamburg / Berlin - This morning we follow the Elbe valley and cross the former “Iron Curtain” to the historic city of Berlin. (BB)
