• Day 2 - Lisbon Arrive in Lisbon and be greeted by a cruise representative who will escort you to the hotel.



• Day 3 - Lisbon Your guided exploration of the city takes you to one of the most historical districts of the city, Belem, where you’ll see the Belem Tower. You’ll relive the opulence of the former times with a visit to the Royal Coaches Museum, and the 16th-century ornate Jerónimos Monastery. (Breakfast)
  
  



• Day 4 - Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto (embark) En route to the Douro Queen, you’ll learn about Portugal’s third largest city on a tour of Coimbra. Enjoy lunch in a local Pousada, before continuing on to Porto. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  
  
  
  



• Day 5 - Porto, Bitetos The “City of Bridges,” is Portugal’s second largest city. You’ll be guided through the medieval city center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then on to see the Romanesque Cathedral. We’ll then sail to Bitetos, where you’ll spend an evening dining at a former 14th-century Benedictine Monastery. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  



• Day 6 - Bitetos, Régua (Vila Real), Pinhão Tour enchanting Lamego, including the 18th-century pilgrimage church Nossa Senhora dos Remedios and an 11th-century castle.(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  
  



• Day 7 - Pinhão, Barca d’Alva Visit the famous Wine Academy at the Vintage House and learn more about the history of Port which goes back to the 17th century. Indulge in some of the country’s most celebrated beverage. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  



• Day 8 - Vega de Terrón (Salamanca) Your walking tour of Salamanca takes you past beautiful plazas, and to the 12th-century Cathedral Vieja and the13th-century university. You’ll then lunch at one of the city’s wonderful restaurants. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  
  



• Day 9 - Vega de Terrón and Pinhão Visit the small medieval town of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo with a parish church that dates from the 12th century. In the evening, visit the Vintage House, where you’ll be treated to a delicious dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  
  



• Day 10 - Régua (Vila Real) Today you’ll be enchanted with a visit to Mateus Palace and Gardens, with an impressive façade made up of beautiful pinnacles on the roof. The gardens are among the most beautiful in Europe. (Breakfast, Lunch, Captain’s Farewell Dinner)
  
  



• Day 11 - Depart Porto Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Guaranteed Room Share

When traveling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a 'room sharing' basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same sex on a 'twin room' basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends and a positive way to stretch your vacation budget further. If we fail to match you we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
