    After checking into your Trafalgar hotel, the remainder of your day is at leisure, perhaps to explore Britain's capital city.  Hotel: Hilton Olympia (2 nights)

    Day 3 - London sightseeing & at leisure
    Many major sights are included on our morning sightseeing tour. Then enjoy time on your own to explore this exciting city. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 4 - London – Amsterdam (2 nights)
    Greetings from our Tour Director, as we drive to the White Cliffs of Dover for our sea crossing to Calais in France. We drive into Belgian Flanders and via Antwerp, the city of spires to the Dutch border and fields of turning windmills. Then via Utrecht we arrive in friendly Amsterdam. We enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director before we have a wonderful introduction to the city with our canal cruise in a glass topped boat which glides past 17th century gabled houses along the spider’s web of canals. (Continental Breakfast) Hotel: NH City Centre (2 nights)

    Day 5 - Amsterdam orientation and excursion to Volendam
    After breakfast we visit a diamond cutting and polishing factory before heading out to the Dutch Amsterdam orientation and excursion to Volendam. After breakfast we visit a diamond cutting and polishing factory before heading out to the Dutch countryside. We arrive in the quaint seaside port of Volendam, protected by a well-constructed dyke and where many of the inhabitants still dress in tradtional costume. We also visit a cheese farm and wooden clog workshop and our Tour Director reveals a special Hidden Treasure to us! The balance of the day is at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 6 - Amsterdam – Rhine Cruise – Frankfurt (Offenbach)
    We drive past Arnhem, scene of famous World War II action and into Germany making a stop at Cologne to see its gothic Cathedral. Next we by-pass Bonn to embark on a relaxing Rhine cruise at Boppard, gliding past medieval castles and ancient vineyards. Disembarking in St. Goar, we rejoin our coach and drive to our hotel for the night. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Sheraton Offenbach

    Day 7 - Frankfurt (Offenbach) – Heidelberg – Rhine Falls – Lucerne (2 nights)
    Today begins with a drive to Heidelberg to see its Castle. Then on through the picturesque Black Forest to the Swiss border, stopping at the mighty Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen en route to beautiful lakeside Lucerne. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Grand Hotel Europe (2 nights)

    Day 8 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure
    Our morning orientation tour features the Chapel Bridge and the moving Lion Monument. Then free time to shop for Swiss watches and chocolate and perhaps take a trip up a nearby mountain peak. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

    Day 9 - Lucerne – Liechtenstein – Innsbruck
    We pass the Walensee to Liechtenstein, stopping in its capital Vaduz. Later we cross into Austria via the Arlberg Pass and the Tyrol, to mountain-ringed Innsbruck. Here we see the Golden Roof and more on our orientation tour. Tonight after dinner, why not join in the fun of a Tyrolean Folklore show? (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Grauer Bär

    Day 10 - Innsbruck – Salzburg – Vienna (2 nights)

    This morning it's back into Germany to Salzburg in Austria! Here our walking tour with a local expert explores the city that featured in "The Sound of Music" and is best known as Mozart's birthplace. From here we will drive to Imperial Vienna. (Buffet Breakfast) Hotel: Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn (2 nights)

    Day 11 - Vienna sightseeing & at leisure
    The Opera, Hofburg, City Hall, Stadtpark, Parliament and the Imperial Boulevards are all highlighted on our sightseeing tour. Later, time at leisure to relax or maybe explore this fascinating city further. Tonight, perhaps enjoy dinner at a nearby 'heurige' wine village. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 12 - Vienna – Venice (Mestre) (2 nights)
    Today's journey takes us across the Alps to the Semmering Pass and on to the Austrian Lake District and Italy's border. From here we continue to the Carnian Alps which give way to the plains of Italy and magical Venice where we stay for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Novotel Castellana (2 nights)

    Day 13 - Venice sightseeing & at leisure
    Today we enjoy a canal cruise by private launch to St. Mark's Square viewing the Bridge of Sighs and Doges' Palace. After a visit to a glass-blowing factory, there's time at leisure, perhaps to experience a relaxing gondola serenade. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

    Day 14 - Venice (Mestre) – Rome (2 nights)
    After breakfast our drive today will take us along the Autostrada del Sole and over the Apennine Mountains past Umbrian hilltop towns to Rome for our two-night stay. This evening, why not dine at a local trattoria? (Buffet Breakfast) Hotel: Mövenpick Central Park (2 nights)

    Day 15 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure
    Today's sightseeing tour with a local guide using our effective audio system starts with one of the World's most important art works – Michelangelo's ceiling of the Sistine Chapel situated in the Vatican Museums. Next we visit St. Peter's Basilica before we cross the Tiber to overlook the Forum and see the mighty Colosseum. Your afternoon is at leisure to explore or relax. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 16 - Rome – Florence
    We drive through the Chianti wine-producing region of Tuscany to Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Our guided walking tour includes the Cathedral, Signoria Square, the Baptistery and a visit to Santa Croce Basilica. Later, our Tour Director shares a Hidden Treasure with us before time to shop for high quality leather and gold. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Holiday Inn

    Day 17 - Florence – Pisa – Monaco – Nice (2 nights)
    We are off to Pisa with its Leaning Tower. Then on past Carrara and along the Motorway of Flowers via Genoa, Columbus' birthplace. We reach the Principality of Monaco where we visit one of the Casinos in Monte Carlo. After a dinner of typical Provencal cuisine this evening we make our way to Nice. (Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner) Hotel: Boscolo Plaza (2 nights)

    Day 18 - St. Paul de Vence & Perfumery Excursion
    This morning we drive to medieval St. Paul de Vence, a wonderful place to shop for hand-made souvenirs and works of art. Then off to the Fragonard Perfumery, home of French perfume before returning to Nice. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 19 - Nice – Avignon – Lyon
    Today we drive along the Riviera and through Provence to Avignon. From here we soon reach Lyon, the second city of France, where orientation shows us the Place Bellecour and the Fourvière hill, before dinner and our overnight stay. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Park & Suites Part-Dieu

    Day 20 - Lyon – Beaune – Paris (2 nights)
    This morning we stop at medieval Beaune. Then we drive past the vineyards of Nuits St. Georges and Gevrey Chambertin as we approach the Forest of Fontainebleau and the glittering city of Paris, with the chance to go the cabaret tonight! (Buffet Breakfast) Hotel: Evergreen Laurel (2 nights)

    Day 21 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure
    After breakfast, our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide begins with a drive from the Place de la Concorde along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe and then to the Eiffel Tower where we ascend to the second level by elevator. Then we enjoy views of Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cité and other great monuments. Tonight, we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together with our Tour Director and fellow travellers in a local restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

    Day 22 - Paris – USA
    Bid farewell to new-found friends as we transfer you to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for your return flight to America. (Buffet Breakfast)

    MEALS ON TOUR: As specified in each itinerary. Meals are based on the hotel's or restaurant's buffet or set menu. In general, beverages are not included, unless specifically stated.

    TRANSFERS: Transfers will dependent on the tour you choose. In general, if you buy the Land and Air package then return transfers between the airport and hotel are included. If you buy land only then you are responsible for your own transfers or they can be purchased separately.

    SIGHTSEEING: There will be a maximum of 49 people on the tour. You will ride in comfort, air-conditioned motor coaches, all with reclining seats. Your Tour Director will implement a seat rotation system, whereby clients rotate seats on the coach daily. This allows for all passengers to experience the different views from various seats and maximize interaction.

    ACCOMMODATIONS: The majority of hotels have air conditioning but not all. Fewer hotels north of the Alps in Europe have air conditioning as a matter of course.

    PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: On dates including, but not limited to religious holidays and national celebrations, some monuments and sites may be closed. On these occasions, touring itineraries may be amended to reflect these closures.

    LUGGAGE: Baggage handling is provided. One suitcase per person will be brought to your hotel room. Due to limited space on the motor coach, you are requested to bring one suitcase per person with the dimensions of 30 in. x 18 in. x 10 in. and weight not exceeding 23kg / 50 lbs - plus the travel bag you get with your documents. The travel bag is approximately 38cm in length, 26cm in height and 17cm in depth. It is a soft canvas bag with a front pocket, back pocket and main body section, plus net holder on the side for drink bottles or whatever. It has handles as well as a shoulder strap.

    TIPPING The tour has pre-paid certain tips and gratuities for you such as all baggage handling at hotels and ports. Tips to restaurant staff for meals are also included in the price of your tour. Tips are customarily given to your Tour Director, Driver and Local Guides at your discretion. The recommended amounts are: Tour Directors US$4 per day, Drivers US$2.50 per day and Local Guides US$1 per day.

    CHILDREN: All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age for children on escorted or guided coach tours is six. Minimum age for European river cruises is 12. There is no minimum age on independent packages. Discounts for children sharing a room as third apply to children under 12.
