• Day 2 - Arrive Rome (2 nights) After check in, time at leisure to begin to explore this incredible city.

• Day 3 -Rome sightseeing and at leisure  Sightseeing shows us St Peter’s Basilica, the Forum and mighty Colosseum. Later, time at leisure, maybe visit the Sistine Chapel? (Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 4 - Rome – Florence – Montecatini (Tuscan Hills) Florence sightseeing shows us the Duomo, Baptistery and Santa Croce. Time to shop and on to Montecatini. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 5 - Montecatini (Tuscan Hills) – Pisa – Genoa (2 nights) First the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then to the seaport of Genoa, before continuing to our hotel where we have dinner tonight. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 6 - Italian Riviera at leisure – Excursion to Portofino Time in pretty Santa Margherita, then by ferry or minibuses, to exclusive Portofino. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)



• Day 7 - Italian Riviera – Chamonix – Geneva  Maybe views of Mont Blanc as we head to Chamonix, then on to the international city of Geneva. (Buffet Breakfast)

• Day 8 - Geneva – Montreux – Zermatt (2 nights) Orientation shows us the Jet d’Eau, Reformation Monument and U.N. building. Then via Chillon to car free Zermatt. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 9 - Zermatt at leisure Time to enjoy this mountain village’s quiet atmosphere and clean air with the chance to have views of the Matterhorn which overlooks Zermatt. Maybe walk to the church and see the graves of many young men who failed in their attempt to scale the Matterhorn. (Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 10 - Zermatt – Italian Lakes – Venice (Meolo) (2 nights) We drive over the Simplon Pass down towards the Italian Lakes and stop in elegant Stresa on Lake Maggiore before reaching the magical city of Venice (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 11 - Venice orientation and at leisure First we cruise to St. Mark’s Square , where we see the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Then we witness the art of glass-blowing before time to perhaps explore some of the other islands in the Venetian Lagoon. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)



• Day 12 - Venice (Meolo) – Orvieto – Rome This morning we stop in hilltop Orvieto , former stronghold of the Popes, with time to explore or shop for colourful ceramics and the local renowned crisp white wine, before finally returning to the Eternal City, Rome. (Buffet Breakfast)

Guaranteed Room Share

When traveling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a 'room sharing' basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same sex on a 'twin room' basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends and a positive way to stretch your vacation budget further. If we fail to match you we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
