Day 8: ASSISI - POMPEII - NAPLES - AT SEA

Day 9: AT SEA - PALERMO
Arrive this morning in Palermo for a sightseeing tour which includes Piazza Bellini. Admire the view of the Conca d'Oro from Monreale and visit the 12th century Norman Cathedral. Visit the village of Mondello before returning to Palermo.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 10: PALERMO - SELINUNTE - AGRIGENTO

Day 11: AGRIGENTO - ENNA - TAORMINA (GIARDINI NAXOS) (2 NIGHTS)
Travel through the vineyards of the southern hills towards the seaside resort of Taormina, stopping en route to enjoy views of the fortress town of Enna. On arrival in Taormina you will have the opportunity to take an excursion to visit the remarkable 'teatro greco', one of the most celebrated ruins in Sicily.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 12: TAORMINA - FREE TIME
Spend the day relaxing in this fun Sicilian resort. Perhaps swim and sunbathe or shop for handmade lace on the Corso. Consider an optional excursion to Savoca, the village made famous by ‘The Godfather’, and the crater of Sicily’s active volcano, Mount Etna, widely regarded as one of the most impressive in the world. Day 13: TAORMINA (GIARDINI NAXOS) - SORRENTO (2 NIGHTS)

When traveling alone, we understand that some travelers do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of their itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these trips on a room-sharing basis. They will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, they cannot guarantee that roommates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your vacation budget. If Trafalgar is unable to match you with someone, they will provide a single room at no extra cost. |

" Just got back last night from our 16 day tour!! Was amazing!! Our tour director Giovanna and bus driver Francesco were just perfect!! They were organized and professional while still being warm and friendly and made us feel like family!! I had read blogs before I left that were less than positive, which scared me but my experience was perfect!! The hotels were excellent, but you also have to remember that it is relative to the city you are visiting!! For example in Assisi, which is a very old village, the room reminded me of staying at my Grandmother's house, so not American chic but charming. I really do think this is the best way to see so much in a limited time span. The planning is all done for you, entrance fees, guides,and you learn more with these very educated tour directors than you would have on our own. The meals were excellent!! The only dinner that was lack lustre was on the ferry to Sicily..but even on that night, we went to the bar and there was a singer who provided singing and dancing..was so much fun!! Enjoy!!
