Today is full of amazing highlights. First we will drive to Memphiswhere we see the limestone Colossus of Ramses II and the giantAlabaster Sphinx. Then we continue to Sakkara where the StepPyramid heralded the start of the pyramid age. Marvel at the GreatPyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, which casts its enigmatic gazeacross the sands of the desert. This evening, return to thePyramids for an unforgettable Sound and Light Show and glory againat the Pyramids by night. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Cairo - Luxor - Dendera - Nile Cruise (7 nights)

Day 5 - Nile Cruise: Dendera - Luxor
This morning we visit Dendera Temple, dedicated to the GoddessHathor, with its sunken relief of Cleopatra with Caesarion, her sonby Julius Caesar. We reboard our ship and sail back to Luxor tovisit the grand Temple of Luxor. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 6 - Nile Cruise: Luxor - Edfu
Today we visit the West Bank and the Valley of the Kings. Next wevisit the breathtaking Deir el-Bahri, Queen Hatshepsut''s impressivetemple and the gigantic statues, the Colossi of Memnon, beforereturning to our cruise ship. Later we sail via the Esna Lock toEdfu, gliding past primitive villages on the banks of the Nile.(Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 7 - Nile Cruise: Edfu - Aswan
This morning we drive a short distance to visit Egypt''s bestpreserved cult temple which was dedicated to the falcon god Horus.Then we continue our tranquil cruise along the Nile to Aswan.Tonight we don traditional Egyptian galabeas for a funfilledEgyptian Dinner and Galabea Party. Day 8 - Nile Cruise: Aswan
This morning we explore the High Dam and Granite Quarries where wesee the massive unfinished obelisk. Then by motorboat to the Islandof Philae to visit the Temple of Isis. This afternoon we take amemorable felucca ride across the Nile to see the Botanical Gardenson Kitchener''s Island. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 9 - Nile Cruise: Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu
This morning there is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take anoptional excursion by air to the mighty Sun Temple of Abu Simbel,flanked by four giant stone statues of Ramses II. This afternoon weleave Aswan as we sail to Kom Ombu. We visit the roofless Temple ofKom Ombu Temple, which was built for the falcon and crocodile gods.Overnight onboard. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 10 - Nile Cruise: Edfu - Luxor
Today we have the chance to relax on board our Nile cruise ship aswe sail to Luxor, which we reach in the late afternoon. We havetime to enjoy the splendid views and to watch the almost biblicalscenery pass by as we watch from the deck. Tonight we dine on boardour cruise ship. (Breakfast/ Lunch / Dinner)
Day 11 - Disembark Luxor - Cairo (2 nights)

Day 12 - Cairo sightseeing
Today we enjoy a full day of sightseeing which will include theCitadel, the spectacular complex dominating Cairo''s skyline. Fromhere we make a visit to the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Mohammed Ali''sAlabaster Mosque with its highly decorated and ornate interior. Inold Cairo we will visit the Hanging Church of St. Mary above theold water gate. Also we will visit the Egyptian Museum, home ofKing Tutankhamun''s priceless treasures, discovered by Howard Carterin the Valley of the Kings in 1922. This evening, there is time onyour own to do as you please. (Buffet breakfast)
